Monika Launches New Monika Thermapen® Temperature Monitoring Probe
Monika, the expert in connecting teams and equipment, has introduced an upgraded version of its handheld temperature monitoring probe.
The sophisticated new Monika Thermapen®, manufactured by ETI (Electronic Temperature Instruments), features an integrated screen displaying live temperature readings for easy single-handed operation. Each device includes a unique NFC tag, enabling a Monika Smart PA device to connect to specific probes when multiple Thermapens® are being used in the same location. The device is backed by ETI’s 5-year warranty and is available through Monika.
Improved Temperature Monitoring and Compliance
Pairing the Thermapen® with the Smart PA device enables temperature readings to be logged directly to Monika’s fully auditable central dashboard, eliminating the need for cumbersome paper records. Alternatively, the probes can be used independently to quickly check temperatures without logging data — for example, confirming whether cooked food has reached a safe temperature.

Flexible, Modern Hardware
The new Monika Thermapen® features a replaceable battery with a lifespan of up to five years, eliminating the need for a wired charging cradle. This provides greater flexibility in device placement and helps maintain a cleaner kitchen workspace.
Selected models also include an infrared sensor for instant, contact-free surface temperature readings before taking a between-pack or food core temperature sample — particularly useful in goods-receiving areas.
The Monika Thermapens® are complemented by Monika’s handheld Google Pixel Smart PA device, which offers improved connectivity via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.
Both devices will be rolled out to new customers, while existing customers will have the option to upgrade or continue using their current hardware, as all components are fully retrofit compatible. This allows operators to upgrade their systems gradually, one piece at a time, as needed.
