Food safety on the Go with Monika

Monika is delighted to be exhibiting at Fine Food Australia, from 9 to 12 September at  ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour where visitors will be able to see the latest version of  MonikaGo – a mobile-based food safety system that has been set up to help smaller businesses meet their food safety  requirements– easily and completely.

Using a robust android device – the Smart PA, MonikaGo prompts users to perform Tasks and Checks, allowing easy recording of what has been done, when and by whom.

The simple to use software has easy icons to take the user to modules covering Cooking and Chilling, Today’s Tasks, Deliveries and allows any problems to be recorded with details of actions taken.  The home screen displays progress made today, and alerts to ensure tasks are completed on time.

There is a daily diary function, which is supplemented by a four-weekly review, audit surveys, a Management section and a handy training record to make sure businesses can prove complete compliance for audit and maintain their food hygiene rating.

The software also allows staff to answer the most common questions they face about allergens – to give them and their customers peace of mind.

Through the ‘set-up’ wizard, accessible through a PC, users can add and remove suppliers and products, update staff training records, incorporate specific tasks to their operation, and much more.

By manually probing with the Bluetooth Smart probe included as part of MonikaGo, a user can ensure the safe storage of food within their fridges or freezers. The probe is also suitable for checking the temperature of food during cooking, reheating or while being kept warm.
